RESIDENTIAL BUILDING
Several building materials of varying quality are used to construct residential buildings. They age, lose their performance characteristics, and experience normal wear and tear as time goes on. The materials used to construct the buildings are unique and each has its own predetermined life expectancy span. The ageing, wear, and loss of performance characteristics don't follow the same path in every building component. The roof covering is not as robust as the roof truss framework. A wooden roof truss construction has a shorter lifespan than load-bearing walls.
